My Shoes Fart..and A Card

PB Hugs and Kisses

Hey Everybody! I feel like I am making one card to everyone else's 5. Oh well, I shouldn't compare right?

I made this card using some left over scraps from other projects. I felt happy that I didn't let my die cuts go to waste :) and I still love gold.

So I bought another pair of shoes. Lately I been looking at my closet and realizing I dress kinda frumpy. SOOO, gonna work on that. Life is such a juggle sometimes. Between remembering to put my night cream on and exercising and all that, aging just seems like a bunch of work!

Oh, here are my shoes...

The only issue is that they fart. NO that's not a typo. When I walk they make a farting noise and I am not sure what the cure for this issue is?! Any ideas?

  2. Sweet card and SHOES! Love the sentiment...is that a stamp? You crack me up Wida...unsure what to do about the farting noise.

  3. Nice shoes! No idea how to stop them farting. Lucky they're pretty! I dress frumpy, too, but I bet I beat you in the frumpy stakes. ;-) Oh, and your 1 card to (perhaps) three of mine is much cuter and trendier - quality over quantity! With your love of gold, I will be looking for you in the pages of the November 2014 Papercrafts Mag. :-)

  5. Like your card - pretty star accents. LOL. . . You make me laugh with your farting shoes. I had a pair of tennies that fart. My only solution was not to wear them. I should have returned them.

  6. Really cute card. Regarding the shoes, does the insole come out? I had shoes that were driving me crazy and my husband took out the insole, slathered mink oil all over them and put them back in the shoes. No more noise. I know that everyone doesn't have mink oil around the house so, think maybe a thick hand cream, vasoline etc. Hope it works. As far as returning goes, I returned mine for another pair that did the same thing and that is when we figured out what to do.

  7. You have got to be the winner of the most original blog post title. It totally cracked me up.
Your card has me definitely inspired...I love that chalkboard look and the aqua teamed up with gold...sigh, so sweet.
So, you gotta tell me what ends up curing the um, situation with your shoes. We just bought my girl some awesome shoes, with a cork platform, and it does the same thing....those puppies were big bucks so PLEASE if you find the cure, can you let me know?

  8. What do I love more, the card or the shoes...tough choice! Dont' know about the "farting" though... sorry! I make one to everyone's five too and they aren't nearly as amazing as yours so don't feel bad! :)

  9. Shoes with "the vapors", Try some cornstarch on the feet. and cork sealer for the shoes. If that doesn't work, return them.
    LOVE the stars upon thars!

  12. Farting shoes are totally not my area of expertise LOL! However, I do know that you should never compare yourself to others. Be happy in what you create. It's always quality over quantity in my book anyway! ;)

  13. First, I injured myself when I fell on the floor laughing about your farting shoes! Great shoes, but if the noise 'stinks', I agree with the others: return them! Second: Wida and 'frumpy' are two words that would never appear in the same sentence. Wida and gorgeous, yes; Wida and glamorous, yes...but NOT frumpy! Third, stunning card - and discovering it's made from scraps = more impressed (and I'm already mightily impressed to start with!). Love every detail...and now, the giggles have started once again...You're awesome! Hugs~c

  14. Gorgeous, I mean seriously gorgeous card! Perfect colors and an awesome aqua chalkboard. Love this! And yes, sometimes my one pair of shoes go all farty too. If the shoes themselves squeak, take 'em back; if it's your feet on the shoes, a little baby powder worked for me...Good luck with those wonderful wedges! Great (and funny) post, btw... : ) Bev

  15. Such a pretty card--it matches well with your blog header! And I love the gold stars--they look so happy to be on your card!
As for those noises, you might just have to wear the sandals a bit more until they conform to your feet. I don't think it's the cork--probably the air the gets trapped under the soles of your feet. When the sandal fits better, the noise will stop. I hope. :)

  16. So...I just spit hot tea on my iPad. Seriously! You made me laugh out loud! Good luck with your shoes...I think I'd take them back :-) love your great card, Wida! Thanks for making my evening!

  17. Oooh, I completely love those shoes. I wonder if there are air pockets in the cushioning making the noise? Or is it when your foot hits the shoe that it kinda spanks the fart out? Maybe try putting a cute little insole in there and see if that helps muffle it?? I really hope you can find a way to keep those pretty little babies. Where did you buy them from?

  19. Only you could write a post like this and get away with it and still be cool, ha ha ha! Keepin' it real... love the card and cute shoes. I sympathize with the frumpy wardrobe, totally.

  20. Another amazing card, I can't believe that you just 'threw this together'..... And about those 'farting' shoes just smile when you're walking and no-one will ever know lol.

  21. Farting shoes is a tricky one. I have a couple pairs that do it sometimes ... and then they don't. Maybe they will be okay once you break them in. LOL! Your card is SUPER cute!!!

  22. Love the card and shoes....try putting inserts in the shoes, that worked for me on a similar pair.

  23. Love the card. Sorry, but I don't know how to help with your shoe problem :)

  24. I'm not sure what to do if it's the shoes, but if it's your feet sticking/slipping in the shoes I have a suggestion. I recently heard about a product called Fresh Balls....hold on....stay with me here.....The same people make another product called Fresh Feet! :) It goes on like a lotion, then turns to a powder that absorbs moisture and prevents foot odor [which I'm sure you don't have, despite the farting...LOL], and it's the best stuff ever! I have to wear custom orthotics that are made of hardened plastic and they cause my feet to sweat and smell. This lotion smells subtle and nice, and really does work exactly as they advertised!

  26. LOVE your card, that big sentiment is fabulous! And too funny about your shoes, I have a pair of farting shoes too, never have figured out what to do about it lol!

  27. Just wear them when you're with boys or men. No one will know the diff. PS-Awesome card, Lady.

  28. I love the bold sentiment and the mix of gold prints! I also have a pair of farting shoes - never solved it - never wear them!

  30. Hahahaha ... now that I have stopped laughing about your farting shoes I can comment on your gorgeous card LOL! Love how the focal panel off to the side!

  31. Love your card(s)! I've been delighted to see your CASe Study inspirations-each one is so Wida. As for the very cute farting shoes, a little baby powder on the bottom of your feet should take care of that. Ask me how I know...
